About Me…

Hey! My name is Morgan, I just finished my fourth year of the education program at the University of Regina; and I am beyond thrilled to be going into my final semester this coming fall. That’s right, only one semester left and I will finally gain the title of “teacher”. I am currently using this blog for classes while I am in school, but it has started to expand into a teacher blog too. I have uploaded my very first self-created unit plan for you all to enjoy. I am proud to say that this unit exceeded my expectations and that my students seemed to enjoy it just as much as I did. If you would like to view this unit, you can click here.

It is my goal that as the years go by I will be able to use this blog for my future classroom as well, but only time will tell. I know this blog is not without fault, and that’s okay. It is not meant to be perfect, as education is unending for both the teacher and the student. It is my goal to improve and grow daily, and to educate the future generation; in hopes of bettering our world. I hope you’ll join me on this journey!

“There are five important things for living a successful and fulfilling life: never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying, and never stop learning.”
― Roy Bennett

Now for a little bit about me… I grew up on an acreage South of Swift Current,  Saskatchewan. Growing up on an acreage we had many animals, such as horses, cows, chickens, cats, dogs, bunnies and I’m sure there was more.  Growing up with lots of wide open space I learned to really appreciate the outdoors, and take full advantage of what it had to offer. When I was younger I enjoyed riding our horses, but as the years went on I got my first quad, and that soon became my favourite past time, as there are endless places to go and explore. I also love camping, spending time at the lake and simply sitting around a fire with friends and family.

When I graduated high school in 2015, my life really changed. It was time to step out into the real world. I moved from a small town to the big city of Regina to pursue a bachelor in education, and wow that was an adjustment! To be completely honest, I really enjoy the city even if it is much different than what I am used to. I have met some pretty amazing people, and have learned so much already! I am super excited for the things to come, and to finally start my teaching journey!
